New Store: Wild West

Stardoll just released their newest store: Wild West 

All the furniture seems to be based around two completely different places, Arizona and Santa Fe. Santa Fe is the capital of New Mexico, and Arizona is a state. 

I think the store is really cute, and I love the Native American style that is incorporated into the store, but it also does generalize the west. It's not just this. It's so much more than this. This really only incorporates Arizona and New Mexico. Technically if you were looking at a map of the United States you wouldn't just pick out New Mexico and Arizona as the west.  

Over winter break I was in Santa Fe and these are the pictures I took. (Yes, they do get snow there)

If you want to be technical, it would be Dromedary Rock, as it only has one hump. 

Here is a picture of the outside of the chalet, at this point my family and I have driven to the mountainous parts of New Mexico.

New Tingeling

Here are the new floors. ^-^ 

I quite like it. I love the flow-y skirts, and the colors, they aren't the most practical skirts and dresses when it comes to layering etc, but this is the best Tingeling collection I've seen in a very long time.

New StarDesign Look

I logged on this afternoon to find that Stardoll has redone Stardesign. The first thing I did was have a mini panic attack when I couldn't see all my gorgeous previous designs. Then I clicked 'Go to the design studio', and all my fabrics were there. :] 

I think you might be able to have more fabrics than before. I could be wrong though. I don't know for sure, anyways. I like the new look. 

It feels clean, and more inviting.

Star Blog

A very popular discussion topic at this moment.

What is a Starblogger? A Starblogger is someone who is lucky enough to have the opportunity to write for the Stardoll based blog, the Star Blog.

How do you become one? Simple answer, you ask. When I applied I simply sent them a paragraph asking if I could be a Starblogger, I proof read it a few times, and submitted it along with a link to this blog.

Is it all that worth it? Well, umm... no, not necessarily.

Positives:
-Getting to post on the Star Blog (Not necessarily something you agree with, or your own personal idea, but a post. Your post) 
-Lots of friend requests to earn your daily starcoins with.
-Some really genuinely nice guestbook comments.
-Popularity

Negatives:
-Popularity
-Hate, lots of it.
-A feeling or guilt and/or regret.
-A billion guestbook comments to answer (It's not as much fun as you think).
-A thousand more people on chat who want to talk to you more than anything in the world.
-Fake friends. The ones who add you as friends and stick you on their best friends list like some sort of trophy.

If you're like me and don't always deal with negatives well; side effects may include:
-Mood swings
-Uncontrollable swearing
-A bruised up 11 year old brother. (Just because everything a little brother says to you gets to you that much more when you're upset.)

Long Term Effects:
-Addiction
-A feeling of superiority-- until you realize that once you log off the computer you go back to your boring life.

Becoming a Starblogger is like running for US President, everyone who's running is isn't qualified, and everyone who is doesn't want the job. Do I necessarily think I'm a great writer, no. Absolutely not. I am the worst story teller in the world you can ask any of my friends. Do I post what Stardoll wants to see, yes. They want you to feature members, they want makeup looks, tutorials. It's a space of consumption.
~ A term I learned in my AP Human Geography class, it simply means that the it's used for comercial purposes, to advertise Stardoll. It's not a place for your own personal thoughts and opinions. Those belong elsewhere. It's a place of business. You have to maintain your business-like image while on the job.

You don't bite the person that feeds you.

My Very Successful Day as Superstar (Sarcasm)

Oh! Lookie here! I'm superstar! I answered all 7 questions correctly. Look at my gold plated name tag thing!

Look at all the awesome superstar features I get! 

I even get to show everyone else I'm superstar! 

I'm a bit disappointed if you can't tell. I can't do anything out of the ordinary. The only thing different is that my name is surrounded in gold. My expectations aren't very high. I was just at least hoping I could dress up a premium doll. -_-

Role-Play Clubs

It's not a secret that one of my secret obsessions on Stardoll are role-play clubs. 

I'm honestly fascinated with the idea of stepping out of your normal character and playing someone else, someone different. In this post I'm just going to list a few clubs that I think are great, or have potential of being great.

To start off~ 

popcornDaisy 's club: Windsor_Prep 

This club is great if you're into the whole typical high school drama. There are tons of cat-fights and it's usually pretty active. 

Free-HugZ 's club: RuthenPrep 

This club is in the middle of restarting so it's the perfect time to join. My new character's name is Rhiannon Taylor just a heads up incase you're looking for some new friends. 

Sabra4390 's club (my club...): AmorphousPrep 

What I think is uniquely different about my club is that there aren't any cliques, giving it a socially equal environment. The only problem is it's becoming notoriously boring. I might have to do something to stir up the drama a little bit...

New Polish, Tiptoe, and Sprinkled

Theses are the new colors, and personally I love the sparkly clear coat. If I had any money I would totally buy it. All I would do is paint over my current nails though.... 

I also really like the red hearts nail polish. I dunno why, it just kinda sticks out to me and it's something I'd wear in real life.

I like the black hearts, and the small red open hearts. I think there is quite a bit you can do with this collection, I wouldn't however purchase any of this.

Dot Valentine Collection

I have to say, I'm kinda really disappointed with the new  makeup.

The colors are extremely bright and too much so for my liking.

That didn't stop me from spending 75sd though. I'm somewhat regretting my purchase, I'm on the last of my Stardollars. I also feel like I want to buy more... 

Here's a quick makeup look using the bright hibiscus colored shadow and the dove and rose liquid liner. I also used the pink mascaras. I find the blush insanely difficult to work with, so theres none of that.

Overall, this is probably the worst Dot collection yet.

The makeup is also really glitchy.

Antidote is Out!

So glad it's a holiday in America today! 

I absolutely love it! The theme is great, I think some of it is a bit inappropriate like the whole pill popping thing, thats dangerous! NEVER TAKE MORE THEN WHAT THE DOCTOR PRESCRIBED!

Ok, now that we've been through that look at the cute bags, they kinda remind me of the bags from a previous Stardoll store, it started with an O, I can't remember the name.

Overall this collection was much better than the last, but not better than the first! 

I mean seriously, this dress is amazing and was only 50sd in 1st season Antidote!

New Floors - IdentiTee

What did I tell ya. So, they were released, and they are quite pricey. 

They aren't very flattering, first off, and second that is quite a price jump. All the previous floors ranged from like 10sc- 40sc and 2sd-4sd

The new jump suit pajama things are 14sd! 

The only thing I would even consider buying is the bunnies blue one piece. I don't know when I would ever wear it though.

New Splendid and Glam 'R Us

Here's a picture of the new Splendid accessories. 

I absolutely adore them. I've always been a fan of classier looks (Along with lots of different styles) I am someone who will walk into a store and just walk out with accessories like these. They are all so pretty and I bought practically everything. I can't wait to incorporate them into some later tutorials! 

They also redid the store interiors for both of them, I really like it. :] 

Glam 'R Us ^^ 

I'm not a huge fan of them. I guess they're ok, but I think they're rather bulky. I like the color and style of it all, but they're hard to use. I personally think they should have gone with something more simplistic. Maybe a nice long and thin necklace with a pretty beaded pattern. Some of the earrings are ok, I guess. 

My favorite items~ 

Splendid: Black Diamond Head Band 

I like this item because its simplistic enough to use with basically anything, and it has just the right amount of glitz. 

Glam 'R Us: Golden Snake Necklace 

I think this item is really diverse. You can use it with multiple styles, it makes for a great Egyptian Queen or Greek Goddess, it's hipster enough. ;]

What I did decide to buy with the money I saved up for the Alpine Chalet is the Beach Villa. It was cheaper (199sd), leaving me extra money to decorate it. So here it is. :] 

Yes, I made my beach an Alaskan beach. ;D

So they're are glaciers, and mountains, and snow, and water! :D 

It kinda has like a night club feel. 

This is what I want the chalet me and my family are staying at to look like. By the way, we're going skiing, if you were wondering. Me, my parents, my brother and grandparents... Yes my grandparents ski. Lol. 

Anyways, I can't wait until I get back, I will be checking up on my phone, and I might sneak in a post or two.. If I get any service in the mountains... hopefully I will, otherwise I might just die.

Stardoll Published My Post About the Family

You know what that means, right? 

It means that Stardoll isn't completely heartless. 

This may have been my third time trying to post about something important, such as Endangered Species and bullying. It's just really nice to know. 

Some added information about the family~ 

I didn't mention that the 11 year old boy is handicapped, I had to keep my post somewhat concise. People would have bored out of their minds if not. We turned in all the toys and clothing and makeup, etc. in today to the warehouse that will deliver it to our family.

It was not because I was greedy, or because I wanted the attention. It's because I wanted to prove that anyone can make a difference. I wanted to remind people of what is truly important.

The Joy of Giving (Sneak Peak.. Maybe)

Hey everyone!

I just wanted to tell you about some great opportunities. Stardoll has been supporting Human Rights Day with their quiz.  They have also been supporting the Beatbullying campaign, to stop bullying. The first thing you can do is write your thoughts on bullying in your own post to submit on the Contests page. Then you can maybe think about volunteering to help in your local city. 

This is what I did to help:

Me and a group of friends signed up to help bring Christmas to a family who otherwise would not have it this year. The organization provided us with a choice of family size and need level. A few days later they wrote back with information on our family. It turns out that the family my friends and I were given, have 2 young boys, they’re 10 and 11, a father who just lost his job, and a mother who is really sick. We were determined to give them the best Christmas possible. We raised $200 and went on a group shopping trip. We were told that the boys like the popular Transformers toys, the mom would like some makeup, and the father wanted nothing, just Christmas. We did the best we could to supply them with a great Christmas. I hope their Christmas will be spectacular.

I just would like to encourage all of you to all do something charitable this holiday season. Not everyone is so lucky as all of us. We all have computers, and food on our tables, and I know that sometimes -- Well often – I’m forgetful of how truly fortunate I am. So just please, think of those in need this holiday season. Also please share how you have helped, or plan to help in the comments section.

I really want Stardoll to post this, it seems that all my other posts were kinda, well unimportant. 

I've submitted a few other posts they haven't uploaded. For example my post about Endangered Species, and bullying. I need a 'Christmas Miracle'. Even though... I don't even celebrate Christmas. Oh well, all I want is the less-fortanate to have a good holiday. The Stardoll team have their idea of what they wish to post, and I have my own. I just hope the match up.

What did you manage to snag?

Personally I really liked the collection, well most of it. My favorite items were the pink ones. Sorry I don't know their names. They were sold out by the time I woke up this morning. I really loved the black and pink dress. I have to say that was my absolute favorite. I hated the boots. I didn't see one pair I liked. I also for the most part didn't like the fuchsia colored clothes. Or anything that was blue (besides the pretty dress), or that... ok, there were quite a few things I didn't like.
